Delivery Driver Caught on Camera Hurling Customer's Package Onto Porch in Florida

A recent incident involving a package delivery in Florida has drawn attention after a doorbell camera recorded a driver tossing a customer's item onto their porch.

The Ring camera footage, shared by Florida resident Nathan Pekas, shows the delivery personnel approaching the residence and throwing the package onto the concrete surface. After the box landed with an audible thud, the driver then raised a handheld device to capture a proof-of-delivery photograph before departing. A dog could be heard barking from inside the house throughout the sequence. The package was not placed at the front door.

Pekas informed Storyful that the delivery was handled by Yun Express, a third-party carrier that manages some deliveries for the major online retailer. He also provided an image indicating apparent damage to one corner of the cardboard box.

Expressing his astonishment at the driver's actions, the Florida homeowner lightheartedly suggested that the intense summer heat in the state "must have been too much to make those extra two steps to the door."

Company Responds to Delivery Blunder

The e-commerce company acknowledged the event in a statement issued to Storyful. "This video does not reflect the standards we have for our delivery partners, and we're looking into this matter," a company spokesperson stated.

It remains unclear whether the contents of the package sustained any damage or if the driver involved continues to be assigned to deliveries for the online retailer.

This episode is the latest in a series of package delivery mishaps that have gained widespread attention after being recorded by home surveillance cameras. Last month, a delivery driver in Georgia garnered headlines when they accidentally fell backward into a backyard swimming pool while attempting to take a proof-of-delivery photo. The driver reportedly laughed off the unexpected plunge, remarking, "I needed that," before exiting the pool and resuming their route.
