Rick Harrison, widely recognized as the proprietor of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and a prominent figure on the reality television series "Pawn Stars," recently faced an unforeseen health crisis. What was initially anticipated to be a minor medical procedure evolved into an urgent situation, leading doctors to perform emergency bypass surgery.

A statement confirmed Harrison's recovery, noting his appreciation for the medical professionals and hospital staff involved in his care. He also conveyed thankfulness for the presence and support of his wife and family during this critical period.

A Recent Marriage Amidst Personal Challenges

Harrison has often emphasized the profound importance of having his family, particularly his spouse, by his side. Just this year, on January 3, the television personality exchanged vows with Agripina "Angie" Polushkin, 42. Their wedding ceremony took place at the iconic Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, with an Elvis Presley impersonator officiating the nuptials.

The couple's marriage occurred after a particularly challenging few years for Harrison. In January 2024, his son Adam passed away at the age of 39 due to an accidental fentanyl overdose, following a long struggle with addiction. Later, in November 2025, Harrison also mourned the loss of his mother, Joanne Harrison, who died at 85 years old.

During these difficult periods, Harrison publicly acknowledged the unwavering support he received from Angie.

"She was there for me," he recounted. "And that's the important part. She was there for me."

Harrison reflected on the immediate connection he felt with Angie upon their first encounter.

"I just started talking to her, and you have a conversation with her. And she's really, really smart," he shared. "And, you know, I'm kind of an egghead myself." He continued, "I mean, I read books on physics for fun. But it's just really refreshing to just be with someone who's just a genuine person, and, I don't know, there was just something about her when I met her."

Offering guidance to those who might feel that finding love later in life is improbable, Harrison shared an optimistic perspective.

"It's all about being happy," he advised. "It really is. I mean, life is absolutely amazing if you want to make it amazing. It's a wonderful, amazing world out there."
