Authorities in Nevada say they averted a potentially devastating mass casualty attack following the arrest of Allison Howlett, 36, who police identified in arrest reports as transgender. Howlett is accused of plotting a shooting on the Las Vegas Strip, and investigators subsequently uncovered an extensive arsenal that included machine guns, grenade launchers, and more than 50 firearms.
Arrest Follows Domestic Dispute Call
The incident began on June 27 when Henderson police received an urgent 911 call from Howlett's spouse, reporting a domestic dispute. The spouse indicated that Howlett had taken a vehicle containing firearms and made threats of
